On Tuesday 28th January Transformation Cornwall are hosting the rescheduled Keep Cornwall Carpeted public forum at 6pm at Bethel Methodist Church to learn more about the issue of insufficient carpets and flooring in social housing properties, and the negative impact it has on the people, families, and children, who call it home.
We’ll be hearing from speakers before we discuss how together we can create a positive change for thousands of people across Cornwall, and how folks can get involved to support the campaign.
A hot meal will be provided to all for free.
As one of our community allies, we’d welcome anyone to attend the evening, all we ask is that they sign up to a free ticket (so we know how many to cook for); https://transformation-cornwall.org.uk/whats-new/support-keep-cornwall-carpeted-st-austell-forum-2. If interested, there are also opportunities on the night for people to get involved to ensure the evening goes well.
“The lack of carpets in social housing has been identified as one of the reasons people across Cornwall are having to access food banks. Keep Cornwall Carpeted is campaigning for better flooring options in social housing, and everyone is welcome to attend this public forum to find out more, and how you can get involved to make a difference.
